Meet Véronique Cochran

Véronique Cochran is a pioneering Bordeaux winemaker and co-owner of Château Falfas, recognized for her leadership in biodynamic viticulture and her commitment to terroir driven wines. Together with her husband John Cochran, she has played a key role in transforming the estate into one of the early adopters of biodynamics in the Bordeaux region. Working in the Côtes de Bourg appellation, Véronique Cochran focuses on cultivating living soils and promoting biodiversity to produce wines that are authentic, balanced, and expressive of their origin. Her approach combines traditional vineyard practices with a deep respect for nature, ensuring that each vintage reflects both the terroir and the rhythm of the environment. Specializing in classic Bordeaux varietals such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, she follows a low intervention philosophy in the cellar.
